Independent campgrounds are more than places to plug in and sleep. They are information desks, gathering places, local employers and often the most useful conversation a traveler will have all day.

Our early campaign idea for the Alaska Campground Owners Association is to turn the van into a statewide invitation: find your next Alaska campground, meet the people who run it and discover what is happening nearby.

One association partnership could connect dozens of campground stories into a road trip people can actually follow.

We would visit as many member properties as practical, photograph the van at each stop, talk with owners and guests, create profiles and coordinate visits with community events such as Salmonfest.

Useful for travelers. Useful for members.

The public receives real campground information and a route worth following. Member businesses receive professional photographs, social posts, blog coverage and a visible campaign that moves between their communities.

That is the kind of partnership we want: grounded, measurable and good for everyone involved.
